Privacy policy

Short version: what you translate is used to produce the result and then discarded.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

Text, documents and photos you submit

When you use the translator, the document converter, the image reader or the API, your text or file is sent to Braillify’s server, processed in memory to produce the braille or text result, and returned to you. It is not written to disk, not kept after the response is sent, not used to train anything and not shared with anyone. The content of what you translate does not appear in our logs.

No accounts, no cookies, no analytics

Braillify has no sign-up and no login. The site sets no cookies of its own and loads no analytics, advertising or social-media scripts — every script on the page is served by Braillify itself.

Technical logs

Like almost every website, our web server records a line for each request: the time, the IP address, the page or API endpoint requested, the response status and the browser’s user-agent string. These logs are used only to keep the service running and to investigate abuse. They are rotated daily and deleted after 10 days.

To stop a single client from overloading the service, the API counts requests per IP address. That count is held in memory for up to five minutes and is lost whenever the service restarts.

Cloudflare

Traffic to braille2text.com passes through Cloudflare, which protects the site against attacks and delivers it quickly. Cloudflare processes connection data such as IP addresses to do this, under its own privacy policy, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it needs to tell people and bots apart.

Children and classrooms

Braillify asks no one for personal information, so it can be used in classrooms without creating accounts for students.

Changes

If paid plans or accounts are introduced, they will need more data (for example an email address), and this policy will be updated before that happens. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also the terms of use.
